House of Bwindi is a Social Enterprise initiative dedicated to empowering local women in the area.
Most people who work in coffee gardens are women who are involved in every step of the coffee production chain, from pruning and harvesting to washing.
EMPOWERING WOMEN
The inequalities between men and women in Uganda are clearly evident in leadership positions, employment and property ownership.
NGRC is committed to helping Ugandan women build their own sustainable businesses and are training them with sewing and tailoring skills so that in the coffee off-season, they can still create revenue.
